Irvine’s M&Co announce the shop “may be closing down soon” as they begin to sell items from their storage room.

The shop in Irvine’s Rivergate Centre advertised through Facebook that they are selling unused catering equipment from their storage room as the shop faces closure.

A representative from the shop said: “Unfortunately we may be closing down soon and we would like to sell as seen this catering equipment that has been stored in our stockroom unused for a couple of years.

“It includes two Rational combi ovens, two Double Door Foster chillers, a six door undercounter foster unit, one Fagor chiller, two Heated cabinets, one sink with high hose tap, various ancillary racking and equipment.

“We will consider all reasonable offers for some or all of these items.”

The Irvine shop is also trying to get rid of stock with a multiple sales currently on.

In store, customers can get 50 per cent off hats, scarves, and gloves, 50 per cent off items from their ‘pet boutique’, 40 per cent off Sonder Studio products, and 40 per cent off Kylie items.

Meanwhile, the brand’s online shop has an “at least 30 per cent off” sale.

This comes over a month after the UK wide company went into administration in December 2022 – leaving 170 stores at risk of closing.

Since falling into administration, many M&Co employees across the UK have been made redundant with their chief financial officer, Iain Scott, resigning last month.
