A MAN has been fined for behaving in a threatening or abusive manner towards his ex and brandishing a hammer at her.
Dalvinder Singh Dhaliwal pleaded guilty to three charges following an incident in Macallan Place, Irvine in November.
On November 13, 2022 the 34-year-old shouted and swore at his former partner and pulled and struggled with her, causing his elbow to strike the woman on the head to her injury.
Dhaliwal also admitted possession of an offensive weapon having brandished a hammer during the incident.
He also accepted a charge of wilfully or recklessly destroying or damaging property belonging to another by kicking a car causing damage to it.
Dhaliwal pleaded guilty to all three charges and was sentenced at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on February 15.
He was fined £600 plus a £40 victim surcharge and a 12-month non-harassment order was also imposed.
