Ayrshire pupils celebrated World Book Day on March 2 by dressing up as their favourite literary characters.

But pupils didn’t just dress up as they were challenged to do some ‘Extreme Reading’ – resulting in some very creative snaps!

From whimsical wizards to curious cats, here’s 10 of our favourite photos for World Book Day.
