Taggart star Blythe Duff will visit Irvine next month to tell “brilliant stories” of her acting career.

Blythe – who played Jackie Reid in Taggart and has been acting for four decades - will be interviewed by Lisa Kennedy for The Braw and The Brave podcast on Saturday April 15 at the Harbour Arts Centre.

The podcast documents the journeys and careers of passionate people and will allow Blythe to chat candidly about her TV and theatre career which has taken her around the globe.

Blythe said: ‘’It’s been a long time since I’ve had the opportunity to be in Ayrshire so I’m really looking forward to being at the Harbour Arts Centre.

“Not only will it bring back lots of lovely memories of my early theatre days, but it’ll give me a chance to sit with Lisa and have a right good catch up in person. See you there!”

Lisa met Blythe during the pandemic and is excited to be able to hear her stories again – this time sharing them with the public.

The podcast started four years ago and during that time has highlighted the stories of 199 successful Scots with the aim of inspiring and motivating people.

Lisa said: “I’m thrilled to be hosting my fourth The Braw and The Brave in Conversation with, in collaboration with North Ayrshire Council, and I am delighted it’s with Blythe.

“We met online during the pandemic, so it will be lovely to chat in person and hear all her brilliant stories.
