Nominations for North Ayrshire’s social and healthcare worker awards have opened for the first time in three years.

North Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership (NAHSCP) are running their Partnership Awards to commend health and social care workers, volunteers, and charities.

Residents can nominate helpful friends, volunteers, and carers, a person or team from social services, the NHS, or other healthcare providers; charities or community groups and care homes.

Councillor Margaret Johnson said: “North Ayrshire has a wealth of dedicated people, including caring residents, who go the extra mile for their patients, service users, friends, family and neighbours.

“We’re delighted to be launching our first Partnership Awards since the start of the pandemic, as this event is a fantastic opportunity for us to celebrate the important contribution that these teams and individuals make to the health and wellbeing of those in our communities.

“We want them to receive the extra recognition they deserve and look forward to reading all about their fantastic work in your nomination forms.”

While the awards usually celebrate the work of people or teams over the past year, the upcoming ceremony will include anyone who has done impactful work at any time over the past three years.

Individuals can be nominated for the Trailblazer, Everyday Hero, Partnership Champion, No. 1 Volunteer, Community Superhero, Administration Star, and Inspirational Individual categories.

Teams can be nominated for the Innovative Team, Administration Stars, Partnership Champions, Volunteer Champions, and Community Superheroes categories.

Nominations close on Friday April 21 and the winners will be announced at The Partnership Awards’ Celebration of Care ceremony at Irvine’s Volunteer Rooms on Tuesday June 20.
