ELDERBANK Primary pupils were delighted at the end of term after a £6,366 windfall for the school.
The Irvine pupils took part in Ayrshire's Cash For Kids Schools Challenge, which saw the community rally round to raise £3,866.78.
And Elderbank got a bonus £2,500 for coming second in the challenge.
The cash will be used to support the children and their families.
As well as generous donations from families and friends of the school, the pupils made their own contributions, thanks to events such as a dress down day.
