A MAN has been arrested in connection with drugs related offences following the search of a property in Irvine.
Detectives in Ayrshire executed a warrant at an address in the town's Kirk Vennel on Wednesday, April 5.
Police say a quantity of controlled drugs was seized with a potential street value of more than £2,000.
A 24-year-old man has since been arrested in relation to the find.
He was due to make his first appearance at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court earlier today (Thursday, April 6).
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "On April 5, 2023 detectives executed a warrant in Kirk Vennel, Irvine.
"Controlled drugs were seized with a potential street value of over £2000.
"A 24 year old male was arrested for allegedly being concerned in supply of the drugs."
The find comes only a day after officers in Ayrshire raided a cannabis farm in Stevenston, where drugs with a street value of up to £2 million were recovered.
