BIKERS from across Ayrshire gathered at the weekend to improve their road skills.

Organised by North Ayrshire Road Safety, the Fit to Ride was an opportunity for experienced riders to learn new things about keeping themselves, and other road users, safe.

Irvine Times:

The event took place around Cunninghame House and ran from 9.30am to 4.30pm, with a break for lunch.

As well as road safety officers, the Fit to Ride gathering was attended by representatives of North, East and South Ayrshire councils and officers from Police Scotland.

The organisers tweeted later: "To the riders at Fit to Ride event - ARA, Camera Safety, EAC, IAM, RoSPA, Police Scotland, NAC & SAC, we hope you enjoyed the event."
