Coastwatch Irvine are recruiting new volunteers to assist them in the upcoming summer season.
No previous experience is needed and all training is provided. The organisation provides first aid for the beach and promotes coastal safety.
The main aim at Coastwatch Irvine is to provide eyes and ears along the coast by monitoring radio channels and providing a listening watch in poor visibility and assisting the Coastguard.
There are also other duties, such as helping run their wee shop and going on safety patrols along the beach and harbour.
Applicants must be over 18. Volunteers will learn new skills, put something back into the community, meet new people and work with the emergency services.
If you are interested in joining please visit the Coastwatch station at the Irvine Beach car park or call them on 01294 271855.
