VOLUNTEERS from the Irvine Clean Up Crew were out in force at the weekend to clear up the area around the river.
And photographer Charlie Gilmour joined them as they worked hard to tidy up the Golfields area.
A spokesperson for Irvine Clean Up Crew said on their Facebook page after the event: "What a team!
"Twelve volunteers cleared 23 bags of litter, a trolley, a mattress, a suitcase, most of a sofa, a Christmas tree, flooring underlay and loads of rubbish from along the banks of the River Irvine this morning.
"Thank you to all who came along, it's made a big difference."
