IRVINE'S Springside Primary has been awarded its sixth eco-schools flag by Keep Scotland Beautiful.
And the school decided to mark the occasion alongside its recent coronation celebrations.
A school spokesperson said: "We are so proud that our wee school has been awarded a sixth Eco-Schools Flag by Keep Scotland Beautiful.
"It is so important because it recognises the eco work that we do at Springside Primary to make a positive difference in tackling litter and waste in our village so we can protect and enhance our community.
"We also work hard to try reduce our impact on climate change both in school and at home."
They continued: "Our sixth Green Flag recognises how invested our young people are in caring for their planet and their active engagement with environmental issues.
"We chose to celebrate our eco flag achievement alongside the coronation celebrations because we know King Charles is an environmental champion and has campaigned for better conservation, organic farming and ecological solutions for over 50 years."
