POLICE are appealing for the public's help to trace a girl who has been missing in Ayrshire since Friday.

Jamie Lee Harvey, 12, was last seen in Irvine's High Street at 1.40pm on Friday, June 30.

Jamie is described as being 5ft tall, of slim build with long brown hair.

When last seen she was wearing black leggings, a grey hooded jumper, a black body warmer and black trainers.

Jamie has previously been reported missing in March 2022 and in March and May this year, though on each occasion she was traced.

Inspector Michael Cowan said: “Jamie Lee has been reported missing before, but given her age we are growing increasingly concerned for her.

"She does have friends in the Irvine, Kilwinning and Stevenston areas of Ayrshire and may have travelled there.

“Extensive enquiries have been ongoing to trace her and we are now appealing for the help of the public."

Anyone with information on Jamie's whereabouts, or who has seen someone matching her description, is being asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 2480 of Friday, June 30.
