FOUR people have been arrested following an incident on an Irvine street in the early hours of the morning.

A 46-year-old man was taken to Crosshouse Hospital for treatment after police were called to a report of a disturbance on Paterson Avenue shortly before 2am on Thursday, July 6.

Police say that enquiries into the incident are ongoing, and that officers remain on Paterson Avenue.
