A man who was struck by a train in Saltcoats on Friday evening is in a critical but stable condition in hospital.
Emergency services raced to the scene of the incident at about 6pm on July 7, with all trains between Kilwinning, Ardrossan and Largs halted for several hours.
Paramedics, police and an air ambulance were spotted at the scene near Saltcoats station.
A British Transport Police spokesperson said: "Officers were called to Saltcoats station at 6.04pm on July 7 following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
"Paramedics also attended and a man was taken to hospital where he is in a critical but stable condition. The incident is not being treated as suspicious."
