Several members of Irvine Seagate Rotary had a day on the paddle steamer Waverley last week.
The weather was good for the trip doon the watter, and they reported that all was well on the distant shores of Millport, Largs and the Isle and Kyles of Bute.
At Marymass, Seagate Rotary will once again be sponsoring the senior citizens folk concert at Woodlands on Friday afternoon, August 25.
On Marymass Saturday there will be the usual hot dog stall in Kilwinning Road to raise funds for the club’s charity account.
Although it seems far distant, it is only three months to the start of the Christmas Trees display at the Portal.
Sponsors are sought from local businesses and individuals.
Sponsors may decorate their own trees, or assist a local primary school with the decoration.
