IRVINE Community Sports Club has made an application to acquire an area of common good land.

This piece of land lies directly adjacent to the club's existing base on Marress Road in the town.

The land is currently used as open space ground, though the club hopes to incorporate this area within their current land ownership.

It is hoped this can then be used to strengthen its ongoing provision of community sports and fitness facilities.
