UPDATE: John Kenneth has now been traced safe and well.

 

POLICE say they are concerned for an Irvine pensioner who has now been missing for nearly 24 hours.

John Kenneth, 76, was last seen at around 4pm yesterday (Monday, October 30) near the town's railway station.

Now, local police officers are asking the public to assist with their enquiries to ensure that he is traced safe and well.

He is described as around five feet and nine inches tall, with grey/white hair and of a medium build.

When last seen, he was known to be wearing a Nike puffa jacket and black trousers (as shown in the picture).

Sgt Clark at Irvine Police Station said “We are concerned about John and are looking to trace him as soon as possible.

“Police will continue to conduct enquiries to trace him as soon as possible to ensure that he is safe and well.

“I would urge anyone with information on John’s whereabouts to contact 101 quoting 0221 of October 30, 2023."
