A NEW takeaway has now opened in Irvine's Rivergate Shopping Centre.
Popular Greek restaurant Gyros - who also operate a premises in Ayr - has now opened the food-to-go diner in the busy shopping mall after announcing the venture plans earlier this month.
The business specialises in the famous traditional Greek dish gyros, alongside other authentic dishes from the Mediterranean.
Unlike the other premises in Ayr, which operates as a restaurant, Gyros Irvine will be offering the tasty Greek treats in more of a takeaway format, however though some tables will be available.
Many locals shared their excitement when the venture was first announced and foodies will now be able to test out the latest business on the local food scene.
Gyros Irvine confirmed today (Thursday, November 30) that they are now "officially open" and welcomed visitors to come and "enjoy our delicious mezes and mains".
