Police have arrested two men after a serious incident in the Corsehill area of Kilwinning this morning.
Officers were called to the Fergushill Road area at 8.30am today (Monday) following reports of a disturbance.
Two men, both aged 25, have now been arrested in connection with the incident.
Road blocks were put in place around the area, and locals claimed armed officers had been spotted at the scene.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.30am on Monday, March, 25, 2024, police were called to the Fergushill Road area of Kilwinning, following a report of a disturbance.
"A 25-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident, whilst a further 25-year-old man has been arrested in connection with outstanding matters.
"This was a contained incident and further enquiries are ongoing.”
