A popular Stewarton fish and chip shop has reopened to customers following a name change.

The Fry Inn, formerly Pioli's, will now be known as the Stewarton Captains Chippy under its new owners. 

The premises, in the town's Lainshaw Street, has been under renovation for the last few weeks, and reopened on Wednesday.

A spokesperson said: "Captains, we could have not asked for better customers. 

"Day one was a blast and it is all thanks to you all!

"We are very proud to be serving our amazing community."
