This week, we take a look back at Irvine's Marymass Festival 2009.
With the 2024 event just under way, we've selected a few picture highlights of how the big festival was celebrated 15 years ago.
Despite a few damp days leading up to Marymass Saturday the sun came out shining for the big day.
Queen Laurie Swan and her Marys Helen Kennedy, Ainsley Storrie, Adrienne Thomson and Stephanie Kane joined in a procession full of colour and music.
The air was filled with tunes from a variety of local bands while talented dance troupes performed in the sunshine.
Of course, there was the usual array of impressive horses, from the massive Clydesdales to some daintily decorate Shetland ponies.
And there was a particularly poignant float paying tribute to the life of the late Carter John Lawson, with the hard work put in by those behind the float providing a stunning finale to the parade.
