TEMPORARY traffic lights will be in place 24-hours per day when roadworks take place in Kilwinning later this year.
The project will be taking place for a full month and will see the footpath along the A737 in the town resurfaced during this time.
Work will commence on Friday, November 1, before concluding on Saturday, November 30, and is being carried out by Amey on behalf of Transport Scotland.
The resurfacing will take place between the hours of 6am-6pm each day however the work will take place under 24-hour temporary traffic lights.
The project will be weather dependant and may be cancelled or rescheduled if conditions are not favourable.
Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout the works.
An Amey spokesperson added: "This scheme will benefit pedestrians using this route each day, by improving the safety and condition of the footpaths in this area and reducing the need for further maintenance.
"We thank road users for their patience and understanding while this work is being undertaken."
