***Update: Police have confirmed that Mathew Strike has been traced safe and well.***
POLICE say they are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of a man reported missing from Irvine.
Officers are now appealing for the assistance of the public as they look to trace Mathew Strike.
The 32-year-old was last seen at around 9pm in the Livingstone Terrace area of Irvine.
Having carried out local enquiries, officers believe he may have travelled further afield and has access to a white Ford Transit van, registration number MW64 PLU.
Mathew is described as being around five feet and seven inches tall with brown hair. It is not known what he is wearing.
Sergeant Kevin Blackley said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for Mathew`s wellbeing and would ask if anyone has seen him, his vehicle, or has any information as to where he might be, to please contact us.”
Anyone who can help is asked to call officers via 101, quoting reference number 0851 of September 26.
UPDATE: Police confirmed shortly after 5pm on Friday that Mr Strike had been "traced safe and well".
