A BUSY Irvine roundabout is set to be closed for 12 days later this month while improvement works take place.
The project at the Stanecastle Roundabout is set to get underway at 6am on Monday, February 17, with the route shut to motorists during this time.
The road will remain closed while roadworks take place until midnight on Friday, February 28, although it will re-open sooner if possible.
The closure will impact access to Middleton Road, Lochlibo Road, Crompton Way, Manson Road and Long Drive.
Drivers are asked to observe the signed diversions which will be in place and have been urged to allow appropriate time for journeys while works are carried out.
Councillor Tony Gurney, cabinet member for green environment and economy, said: “We appreciate this will cause some temporary inconvenience to motorists and thank them for their patience during the duration of the works which will bring long-term road improvements."
