A STEWARTON road is set to shut for three weeks to allow for Scottish Water works to take place.

Bridgend will be closed at its junction with Springwell Place for around 70 metres of the road.

The works are expected to start from Tuesday, April 22 at 8am with the closure remaining in place until Tuesday, May 13 at 6pm.

The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.

Access for emergency services, residents and deliveries outwith the working zone will be maintained via a diversion route.

An alternative route will be signed via Springwell Place, High Street, Main Street, Vennel Street and vice versa.
