A PET owner desperate to be reunited with his missing therapy dog has made a fresh appeal to find him.
Vishal Lal is now offering £35,000 for the safe return of his three-year-old Pomeranian, Bear.
It comes after the pooch vanished from the garden of Vishal's Irvine home in January.
There have been a few possible sightings since, leading his heartbroken owner to offer an initial £20k reward to anyone who could reunite them.
Now, three months on, Bear's owner, who says he has hardly slept since, has increased the cash in the hope someone brings him home.
Speaking recently, Vishal said: "We have had a few potential sightings but these have all been very vague.
"We are doing well, just trying to remain as positive as possible and hope we get a breakthrough soon.
"We are still looking for Bear and as we reach the three-month mark we are running a fresh appeal.
"We have increased the reward offered to £35k for any information that leads to the safe return of Bear."
Earlier this year Vishal, a recovering alcoholic, told us of his devastation.
Previously he said: "Bear is more than just a family pet, he is my anxiety and therapy dog. He is part of me, I feel like I have lost an arm or a leg.
"He comes everywhere with me, I take him to business meetings. He has helped me stay sober for 500 days. Now he is gone, I am drinking again. It has affected everything.
"I have had search parties out and we can't find him anywhere."
Property expert Vishal has looked to widen his search as far as possible, due to reported sightings from further afield, to increase the hopes of finding his precious pet.
