Entries now open for 2025 Jim Young Marymass Road Race

It will be the 101st time the race has been run - and this year it will feature a new multi-terrain route.

Due to construction work near the Pilot House, the race will start in the Beach Park just across from Gottries Road, loop round the pond, up to the Dragon, out to the Gailes on the cycle path, back on the road with a final loop round the pond finishing near the start.

The course is approximately 10km and the race will begin at 7pm.

A huge thank you to them and to the Scottish Maritime Museum for hosting registration.

"Entries close on August 13 with a limit of 400 competitors. Please enter asap to avoid disappointment and note that the race limit was reached last year."

Each runner will get a race memento on completion of the race and a free ice cream from Vanilla Joe's. Refreshments will be served after the race in the Maritime Museum, where the prizegiving will be held at 8.15pm.
