NEW operators have laid out plans to re-open one of Irvine's most iconic venues.

The ownership team at The Clubhouse Bar and Kitchen have promised to bring the premises "back to life" when the doors swing open once again.

Known locally as simply 'Clubhouse' - the bar first opened in 1995 and was one of the most popular nightlife spots in the town.

However, the East Road venue has been shut for several years despite making a brief comeback in 2023.

This is now set to change once more with the new team stating that opening day will be "very soon" following the launch of a new social media page.

A spokesperson said: "The Clubhouse Bar and Kitchen reopening very soon under new ownership. We look forward to bringing this amazing place back to life in Irvine.

"We will be re-opening the kitchen and offering some of the best food there is to offer locally as well as a great range of draught beers and ciders.

"We also look to bring some great entertainment to the afternoon and night life of Irvine.

"Be sure to follow our page for updates as we look to release our opening date as soon as possible."
