PEOPLE from across North Ayrshire are being invited to attend a massive three-day 'winter market' taking place later this month.
The Scottish Maritime Museum will be hosting the annual event from Friday, November 26, until Sunday, November 30.
Set within the museum’s stunning Victorian, glass-roofed linthouse and courtyard, this year’s market will showcase more than 80 stalls, making it one of the largest on the west coast.
The Friday market will take place during the evening, from 4-9pm, with the Saturday and Sunday fairs being held from 11am-4pm.
During the course of each event, visitors will have the opportunity to browse an exciting selection of handcrafted gifts and festive decorations as well as artisan food and drink.
On different days over the weekend, they can also look forward to live glass working demonstrations and hands-on glass working workshops, seasonal performances by local choirs and children can ‘meet the elves’.
Christopher Woodland, revenue development manager at the Scottish Maritime Museum, commented: “Our winter market is one of the largest Christmas fairs on the west coast and there truly is something for everyone.
“With over 80 crafters, producers and local organisations and businesses joining us, it promises to be another fabulous weekend full of festive shopping, fun and seasonal sparkle.”
Entry to the market is three though those planning to attend are advised that a cost of £3 per child will be charged to meet Santa’s helpers.
Glassworking Workshops will also be costed at £10 per participant. Tickets can be purchased at reception during the winter market.
