IRVINE is set to dazzle next month as festive celebrations make their return with a weekend of Christmas events.
Free festive fun for all the family is planned for the Bridgegate area of the town on Saturday, December 6 and Sunday, December 7.
With the countdown to Christmas well and truly underway, Irvine Events have invited families to enjoy 'A Very Merry Weekend'.
The organisers are hoping to make it a weekend to remember with the weekend set to be the first Christmas celebration held in the town for a number of years.
Plenty is planned to ensure fantastic fun with Bridgegate to be transformed into a winter wonderland with free fairground rides and activities kicking off at 1pm on December 6.
The Bridgegate stage will come alive with live entertainment from 2pm featuring performances from Natalie James as well as “A Taste of Sabrina”, a Sabrina Carpenter tribute, followed by a DJ set from Elliot Boyce.
All eyes will be on Bridgegate at 5pm, when families are warmly encouraged to gather as the town’s Christmas lights are switched on, officially marking the start of the festive season.
Expect an abundance of twinkling lights, community spirit, and magical memories for all.
Entertainment from noon on December 7 will feature a sparkling line-up of local acts, and choirs, festive performances, and interactive shows to keep the whole family singing and dancing along.
Live entertainment and the fairground will also be up and running from noon on Sunday.
People are encouraged to wrap up warm, bring their loved ones, and experience the magic of Christmas in the heart of Irvine.
