PROUD parents, family members and friends packed into Fullarton United Irvine Church of Scotland as Sunday school children presented their Nativity celebration.
Entitled ‘Are You Dressed Yet?,’ it put across the message that while we all like to be presented well, it is really what we wear underneath (our soul clothes) that is the most important thing in terms of faith.

It told the story of how Joseph wore something like a boiler suit on the outside but compassion on the inside when he realised Mary was expecting a child. Mary perhaps had an apron on the outside but was wearing humility on the inside.
Compassion, kindness, gentleness and humility were needed by us all was the message which came from the Nativity.

Jesus, the narrators said, was the ancient version of an influencer who could advise us what we needed to wear on the inside.
Hymns performed included O Little Town of Bethlehem and Come and Join the Celebration.

The Fullarton Bible Investigators then presented a specially-made film about compassion and compassion.
It also illustrated how sharing was important as two brothers shared an advent calendar and another youngster showed consideration by tidying his room.

Well done to the youngsters and the Fullarton team for the successful show.
