STEWARTON Post Office is officially up and running at a new location, having been opened by East Ayrshire's depute provost, Councillor John McGhee.

Following the closure in April of the Morrisons Daily store on Lainshaw Street, Stewarton's Post Office has now found a new home inside Lifestyle Express on High Street.

From this new location, customers will benefit from 46 hours of service per week, with the branch being open Monday to Saturday.

Services available at the post office include Western Union money transfers, mail services, everyday banking, bill payments, and vehicle tax renewal.

Post Office area change manager Danielle Cameron said: "We know how important a Post Office is to a community and we are delighted to have restored service to the community."

The new branch is located approximately 482 metres from the previous branch.

For those travelling by car, there is lay-by parking available outside the premises.
