IRVINE'S singing fisherman has lost his beloved pipe - and his family have appealed to Times readers to try and help him find it.
Actor Sean O'Kane was returning from a film shoot for The Crews Season 2 when he lost his pipe bag on the footpath near The Gulab restaurant just before Christmas.
It contained all his tobacco paraphernalia - including an antique pipe he has smoked since appearing on Cagney and Lacey 40 years ago.
Sean, who was the star of late-80s TV show Interceptor, hit the Irvine Times headlines a few years ago when he was identified as The Singing Fisherman.
He and other members of Irvine Water Sports Club had been catching fish in the river to help feed the elderly in the community during lockdown.
Sean was filmed belting out Elvis Presley songs on the boat, delighting those around the harbourside, and the clip went viral.
At the time, he said: "Scotland could use a plethora of joy in these trying times.
“I fish almost every chance I get and share my catch with the elderly in our harbour. The older members of our community need care too."
Now his daughter Lauren hopes that Times readers can reunite him with his much-missed pipe.
She said: "As my dad contributes to his community it would be great if someone reached out in kindness."
