ACCLAIMED Scottish musician The Pictish Trail is heading to North Ayrshire next week following the release of his latest album.
Real name Johnny Lynch, he will be appearing with a full band at Irvine's Harbour Arts Centre on Friday, April 24 under the Freckfest banner.
Based for years on the island of Eigg, Johnny released his new album Life Slime last week to great reviews
Specialising in his unique brand of indie folk and electronica, he released his first album on his own Fence Records in 2008 to great acclaim - and later albums such as Future Echoes hit a chord with the public too.
He will be supported at the Freckfest gig by Faith Elliot. Some tickets are still available HERE.
These shows promise to bring his new songs to life in bold, expansive form — rhythmic, euphoric and immersive, balancing motorik pulse with warped pop melody and raw emotional release.
