NO less than 57 premises across North Ayrshire have applied for late licences to show Scotland games during the World Cup.
The council's licensing board revealed the numbers on Monday, April 20 - and confirmed that the pubs, bars and clubs were hoping to show a combined 336 games, including big ties not involving Stevie Clarke's men.
Some 22 of the applications had already been processed, with the remaining ones to be confirmed within three to four weeks.
The late licenses are subject to statutory procedures including consultation with Police Scotland. A board officers confirmed there had been no objections from the force so far.
He added: "We will be scrutinising each application and if there are concerns, they will be highlighted and reviewed."
The Tartan Army will be playing all of their fixtures scheduled so far either late at night or in the early hours of the morning after qualifying for the tournament being played across the USA, Canada and Mexico in June this year.
At present, Scotland are scheduled to play group stage matches against Haiti in Boston on June 14 at 2am UK time, Morocco in Boston on June 19 at 11pm, and Brazil in Miami on June 24 at 11pm.
The Scotland team will have a strong North Ayrshire contingent at the finals including Ardrossan's Billy Gilmour, Dalry's Ben Gannon-Doak and the boss himself, Saltcoats man Stevie Clarke.
