AYRSHIRE singer Annastaisyar is set to release a remix of her single The Famous Tartan Army in time for the summer's World Cup.
The 20-year-old from Stevenston first released the song in 2024 just before Scotland played in the European Championships - with an iconic video shot on the streets of Irvine.
The remixed track bursts with driving rock guitars, traditional accordion and pipes, and electrifying chant-like vocals in the chorus.
The proceeds from this version will be going to the International Play Association (IPA Scotland and IPA Brazil), a global charity dedicated to protecting and promoting every child’s fundamental right to play.
The singer - real name Anna Muir - says the reimagining was inspired by a touching family story.
Her six-year-old niece, Largs Primary pupil Indie Menzies, designed Brazil’s first official tartan “The Spirit of Brazil” and has already featured on STV, BBC and other major media outlets.
Annastaisyar - the name comes from her being told 'Anna stay as you are' - says she knew the original version needed more energy to match that same spirit of unity and pride.
Having her niece by her side throughout the videoing process proudly wearing her own tartan turned the project into an unforgettable family experience.

The singer has overcome some major obstacles on her musical journey. Diagnosed with functional neurological disorder (FND) as a teenager, she spent two months in hospital and was confined to a wheelchair for nine months.
She first gained widespread attention busking on Buchanan Street in Glasgow where one of her videos amassed more than 73 million views.
Classically trained in opera, she has performed in Italy and the USA. She has also played at classic Scottish venues such as Barrowlands and King Tut's, as well as supporting some iconic bands including The Sweet and The Skids.
Her new single will be released on May 22.
