STEWARTON is getting into the World Cup spirit thanks to some unusual works of art appearing in the town.

Small knitted figures of footballers, including some in Scotland strips, have appeared on top of post boxes in the past week.

Stewarton is well-known for its love of the post box toppers, with these works of art celebrating the upcoming FIFA tournament.

One knitter topper even includes the phrase 'yes sir I can boogie' in a nod to the popular song taken on by Scotland fans.
