A KILWINNING bar is set for a "new era" after confirming plans for an "exciting transformation".
The team from Kilty's previously teased that "something big" was coming to the Main Street pub which recently celebrated one year in business.
They have now announced that they will be bringing a "brand-new sports bar" to the town.
This promises live sports being played on big screens within the pub as well as pool tables, darts and a fresh food menu.
Kilty's say this will bring an "unbeatable atmosphere" once the project is completed.
A spokesperson said: "Kilty’s is bringing a brand-new Sports Bar to Kilwinning. We’ve been working behind the scenes to create something bigger, better, and built for sports fans, friends, and great nights out.
"As we begin this exciting transformation, our upstairs restaurant is now closed while we prepare for the next chapter and new menu. We appreciate your patience and support as we create something we can’t wait to share with you.
"Whether it’s match day, a game of pool with your mates, or somewhere to enjoy great food, drinks and live sport, Kilty’s is becoming Kilwinning’s new home of sport.
"This is more than just a refurbishment. It’s a whole new era for Kilty’s.

An opening date for the sports bar section of the pub is to be announced in the coming weeks.
