A BRAND new music festival is set to bring three days of live entertainment to Stewarton later this month.

Stewarton Music Weekender will take place from Friday, July 24 to Sunday, July 26, with performances and events being held at venues across the town.

Organised by Stewarton Initiatives, the new event aims to encourage residents to support local venues while enjoying a varied programme of music and entertainment.

The weekend will begin on Friday with a children's disco at The Centre in Standalane, followed by live music from resident DJ Jim Marshall at The Mill House.

Saturday's programme includes live music and memories at The Centre, DJs at The Smugglers, live music at The Stewarton Arms and a cheese and wine evening with background music at the Masonic Club.

The festival concludes on Sunday with Stewarton Bowling Club's annual fete, featuring karaoke throughout the afternoon, while churches across the town are also inviting people to enjoy music and singing.

Stewarton Initiatives said it hopes the inaugural event will offer something different for residents while encouraging people to visit and support local businesses and community venues.
