NORTH Ayrshire school kids received congratulations from the world's number one golfer at the Women's Scottish Open.
Ahead of the tournament at Dundonald Links, more than 350 school primary pupils from across the county submitted flag designs into a North Ayrshire Active Schools competition.
Each entry was to be creative, original, have a Scottish flare and a strong visual impact.
Three winners were selected from those who put forward their artwork - Dalry Primary pupil Rachel, Layton from Woodlands Primary and Elderbank Primary's Aimie.
Each were invited to attend the Pro-Am tournament at the event and enjoyed a wonderful day whilst seeing their flags in real life.
The children were presented with their winning flags, as well as a goodie bag from the tournament.
They even got to meet world number one Nelly Korda who gave their designs a big seal of approval.
A North Ayrshire Council spokesperson said: "What an experience for them and a huge well done to all who took part and our North Ayrshire Active Schools team for organising such a great competition.
"Rachel and Layton are pictured with their flags and Nelly. Unfortunately Amie was unable to make it to the presentation."
