AYRSHIRE tourism businesses are being invited to apply for a major travel trade event.
VisitScotland Connect 2027 will take place at the SEC in Glasgow on April 14 and 15, offering trade-ready businesses the chance to meet travel trade buyers through a 'speed-dating' style format.
The event connects Scottish tourism and events businesses with tour operators and travel advisors who create and sell itineraries in Scotland to visitors in the UK and around the world.
Earlier this year, the event welcomed 330 tour operators and travel advisors from more than 20 countries and facilitated more than 10,000 one-to-one appointments with 289 Scottish tourism businesses.
Almost all participating businesses said they expected to generate sales as a result of attending, with projected bookings valued at £10 million.
The event is supported by Visit Glasgow and will focus on responsible tourism, with all participants expected to demonstrate a commitment to sustainability.
