HAVE you ever fancied lining up alongside some of your footballing heroes?

Well now is your chance as Old Firm Greats comes to North Ayrshire with some Rangers and Celtic legends donning their old shirts next month.

Taking place at Abbey Park, the home of Kilwinning Rangers, the match will be on Sunday, November 12 with a 2pm start to the match.

Featuring the likes of Charlie Miller, Mark Wilson, Andy Goram, Bobby Petta, Gordon Durie, Simon Donnelly and the tap-end of Stevenston’s very own Grado, the day promises to be an absolute belter for everyone taking part.

And there will also be a tie-in with the North Ayrshire Foodbank so that the charity can receive much needed support.

For £99 you can secure your space on the team of your choice and this will include a personal question and answer session after the match with the players on the day.

And there will be loads to do on the day for children with a real-family feel to the whole event.

There will be a bouncy castle, facepainting and other stalls in the stadium with everyone and anyone welcome to head along.

This is the third match that the guys from Old Firm Greats will be putting on and the two gaffers for each side will be a big draw for some of the older local residents with Derek Johnstone and Frank McGarvey taking charge of their respective sides to go for glory and bragging rights.

Local kids also have the opportunity to be a mascot on the day for just £10 and if you are a school, youth club or local group, get in touch with the guys beforehand to organise entry for children for just £1.

Entry on the day for adults is £10 and it is £5 for children heading along.

Any local businesses wishing to get involved on the day or involved in sponsorship should contact Bernie at Old Firm Greats on 07802418319.
