A Kilwinning teenager suffered an assualt with a meat cleaver over the Christmas holidays.
Police are still on the hunt for a man with a distinctive neck tattoo after a 15-year-old was assaulted using the handle end of the meat cleaver on Kilwinning’s Main Street.
Police said that two 15-year-old males were playing music on a loud speaker outside Kilwinning’s Premier Store at around 9.30pm on Wednesday, December 27, when a man became aggressive.
The suspect then struck one of the teenagers with the handle end of the weapon.
Police say enquiries are still ongoing into the identification of a suspect and appeal for any witnesses or anyone with information to get in touch.
The suspect is described by police as being around 25 years of age, between 5ft9 to 6ft tall, wearing a red/burgundy full tracksuit with hair shaved at the sides.
The suspect also a distinctive flower tattoo on the right hand side of neck.
