A new biscuit launch is generating plenty of excitement among shoppers.

McVitie’s has introduced Mint Club Digestives, blending the flavour of its classic chocolate digestive with the club biscuit range.

They have been spotted on supermarket shelves in the UK and shoppers are looking forward to trying it.

Eleonore de Saint Perier, Brand Manager at McVitie’s said: Both McVitie's Chocolate Digestives and Club Mint have loyal fans, and so we’re excited to see them unite for the first time as part of this biscuit mash up.

"Whether being enjoyed after a long day or amongst friends after a dinner party, McVitie’s Mint Club Digestives will transform simple breaks into rewarding, unwinding moments."

The biscuits are currently available in 226g bags at Tesco for £2.25, or £1.85 with a clubcard.

The new product was spotted on shelves by Newfoodsuk on social media.

The page said: "The new Mint Club Digestive Biscuits are an absolute game changer!

"Now available at Tesco.”

One shopper commented: "Good idea, these would be great."

Another wrote: "I know I'm going to like these."

Rare Toblerone flavour seen in Sainsbury's

Elsewhere in UK supermarkets, a hard-to-get Toblerone flavour has been seen on shelves.

The Swiss chocolate brand has launched its limited-edition Crispy Caramel bar, which was typically only available in airport duty-free stores.

World Duty Free says the product has "premium Swiss milk chocolate with irresistible salted caramel pieces and crunchy texture for an indulgent new taste experience".

The Toblerone Crispy Caramel bar, which combines classic Swiss milk chocolate with salted caramel pieces and a crunchy texture, was seen in Sainsbury's.

Shoppers have recently spotted the 100g bars on shelves, where they are being sold for £2.50 each.

Previously, 350g bars were sold exclusively in duty-free shops at a higher price of £7.50.

One customer described the caramel pieces as similar to "honeycomb" and praised the "great" chocolate flavour and the balance of salt and sweetness.
