POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a woman was caught trying to break in to a house in Irvine.

Officers based at Irvine Police Office are appealing for information after a woman was caught climbing through the kitchen window of a house in Sanderson Avenue at around 2am on Monday, July 27.

The owner of the property caught the woman and she ran off, but police say he was left shaken as a result.

“The resident was left shaken as a result of this incident as I believe most people would be.
