AN eyewitness has described the scene of a “bad” crash on the M8 this morning.
We told earlier how The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) and Police Scotland rushed to close a lane on the busy motorway westbound.

Tailbacks were being reported from J8 M73 J2 (Baillieston) to J9 Easterhouse Road (Easterhouse), with large amounts of debris at the scene.

The eyewitness, who asked not to be named, told the Evening Times: “At first, you couldn’t see anything because there were a lot of lorries along the hard shoulder. But the closer I got, I saw debris on the road and a small car up on the embankment. It looked like it might have been hit by a lorry - I don’t know. But it’s a bad one. The car’s pretty damaged at the back.”
