FOUR-goal hero Logan Stevenson helped Dirrans come from behind to sweep aside Carrick in a high-scoring league encounter at Kilwinning Sports Club.
The visitors began strongly and took an early lead. However in 24 minutes Dirrans levelled when Stevenson ran on to a long through ball before slotting a shot beyond the visiting goalie.
However Carrick scored on the breakaway three minutes later to restore their advantage and they then netted with a header from a free-kick to give them a two-goal cushion. Calvin Kemp then made a great run and the ball broke to Ross McManus who sent a curling shot into the right side of the goal. However Stevenson then made a great turn before sending a right-footed shot in off the right hand post.
Then in 70 minutes made a great run and found Stevenson who sent a good shot under the visiting goalie and into the net for his hat-trick.
Carrick were then reduced to 10 men when a player was given a second yellow card.
Dirrans then increased their lead when McManus set up Stevenson to shoot home.
With five minutes remaining Jarod Kiefer shot home to make it 7-3 and Graeme "Vinnie" Muir netted before Kemp completed the dream comeback by slotting home.
