McBookie Super League First Division
IRVINE MEADOW 1
CAMBUSLANG RANGERS 0
FORM team Meadow racked up their fourth league win on the bounce.
They continued their recovery following the Scottish Junior Cup last 16 defeat at the hands of Lochee United with a comfortable win against high-flying Cambuslang.
The home side began well, taking the game to their hosts and they took the lead in five minutes with rejuvenated Ryhs Devlin turning the ball home following a corner-kick.
They then doubled their advantage before the interval with another inspired strike. Mark McLennan burst into the box and Eddie McTernan slide the ball into the back of the net.
The hosts then made a substitution with Jared Willet replacing recent signing Jordan McGuire.
Ben Black then replaced skipper Ben Carson, who had another fine game.
'Lang were reduced to 10 men in injury-time when their number two was given a second yellow card.
But Meadow held on for another fine win ahead of their visit to Lanarkshire to face Larkhall Thistle in the New Coin Holdings West of Scotland Cup.
