A SPORTING event staged at the Portal was a smash-hit success.
KA Leisure held a Badminton Festival at the Portal on March 26.
The festival was part of KA Leisure's Smashin2 programme and was being run in partnership with Ayrshire College, Badminton Scotland, Active Schools and Irvine Junior Badminton Club.
More than 160 pupils took part, in the P4-7 age range. The festival included pupils from Castlepark, Loudon Montgomery, St John Ogilvie, St Marks and Woodlands Primary Schools.
The event was delivered in partnership with Badminton Scotland, Ayrshire College, Active Schools, Irvine Junior Badminton and KA Leisure.
It included a variety of activities which gave the kids a taster of the new smashin2 sessions which are being delivered by KA Leisure at the Portal. More details of these festivals are available at www.kaleisure.com.
