IRVINE MEADOW 2
VALE OF LEVEN 1
MEADOW edged past Vale to set up a mouthwatering second round tie away to league champions Beith.
The hosts began well and scored early on when Jared Willet sent a great ball to Andy McLaughlin who rounded the goalie and slotted home.
Vale quickly levelled when McGeachy set up Chris Jackson, who finished well.
Darren Miller then netted with a header, but it was disallowed for some reason. Miller was booked for his protests.
Ciaron Smith then missed a penalty for Meadow.
However Reece Pearson netted late on from the spot to seal victory.
